Cocke County, TN (WOKI/WVLT) – The Cocke County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a three-year-old child dies following a car accident.
Sheriff CJ Ball says first responders went to a home on Ridgeland Drive in Newport yesterday (Monday) afternoon after receiving a report of a car accident involving a three-year-old child.
They found the child with his parents with what appeared to be critical injuries, he was taken to the hospital, where he passed away.
Detectives were called to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
