The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a student at Wartburg Central Middle School is taken to the hospital following an assault.
Police say the victim was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and the suspect, who ran from the scene, was taken into custody after a search that lasted several hours and will be taken to a juvenile detention facility pending completion of the investigation.
