KNOXVILLE, TN (Story courtesy of WVLT) – More than a hundred people in Knox County are going to lose their jobs as a beauty and personal care product manufacturer closes shop.
In a WARN Notice filed with the State of Tennessee, Edgewell Personal Care said 132 workers would be affected by its Knoxville plant location’s closure. That closure is slated to happen between June 1, 2026 and Dec. 31, 2027.
Edgewell operates a plant located at 2820 Media Drive. There, the company plays a part in manufacturing products for brands it owns like Schick, Banana Boat, Cremo and more.
Companies must file WARN Notices when a substantial amount of employees’ work is affected by company moves. This often includes some kind of closure, like in Edgewell’s case.
