Knox County District Attorney General Charme Allen says a man has been sentenced to decades behind bars for raping a teen multiple times and giving her alcohol and drugs.
52-year-old Randall Myers and his wife, Abigail Myers, gave the 13-year-old victim alcohol and marijuana in the summer of 2022 before Randall sexually assaulted her multiple times. He said the assault was her fault because her shorts were too short.
Abigail confessed to the crime in a note to a friend and the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. However, Randall left the area and was missing for nearly two years before being caught by U.S. Marshals in 2024.
At the trial, Abigail testified about her role in the incident and confirmed the victim’s testimony.
In September, Randall Myers was convicted of two counts of aggravated rape and was sentenced on Friday to 56 years in prison without the possibility of parole.
Abigail Myers previously pleaded guilty to rape and received a sentence of 18 years in prison.
