The Tennessee Department of Human Services says some federal food services have restarted in the state.
They say they’ve received “updated federal guidance,” and recipients of SNAP have either received partial payments for the month of November or will receive those benefits soon.
Households that normally get benefits between the 1st and 12th will now receive them starting today.
All other households will get their reduced benefit on their usual date.
Some households in certain situations will receive benefits on a different date.
SNAP recipients can log in to their accounts on the TDHS website at https://www.tn.gov/humanservices.html to check on their payments and when they can expect them moving forward.
