GREENE COUNTY, TN (Story courtesy of WVLT) – A Greene County man is facing child sexual abuse charges after an investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, according to a news release from Sheriff Wesley Holt.
The release named Timothy Glenn Hart as the suspect, saying he had been charged with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and sexual exploitation of a minor. Hart, who lives on Shelton Mission Road, had previously been jailed for violating the rules of the sex offender registry in September, the release said.
The investigation itself began with a tip, the release said, which brought investigators to Hart’s home. There, they found an electronic device with child sexual abuse material on it. According to the sheriff’s office, Hart also gave some of the material to another person.
Hart is being held inside the Greene County Detention Center, the sheriff’s release said. He’s due in court for arraignment on Jan. 16 at 9 a.m.
