Greene County, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – The Greene County Sheriff’s Department says a man has been charged with dozens of sex crimes against children and animals.
The investigation began earlier this year with Cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children involving the distribution of child sexual abuse material.
The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Devon James King, was arrested in September on eight counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and had his bond set at $200,000.
Investigators says King’s electronic devices revealed hundreds of images of CSAM and they learned that he sexually abused and exploited two minors in his care.
Today (Monday), a Greene County Grand Jury handed down a presentment/capias on King for the following charges:
- Three counts of aggravated rape of a child
- Nine counts of aggravated sexual battery
- 13 counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor
- Five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor
- 21 counts of sexual activity with an animal
King’s bond for the new charges was set at $1 million and he is scheduled to be arraigned on November 26.
