Unicoi County, TN – Motorists traveling on State Route 107 (Unicoi Drive) in Unicoi County should be aware of upcoming bridge construction activities that will have an impact on traffic.
Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, November 10, State Route 107 (Unicoi Drive) in Unicoi County will be closed at the bridge over North Indian Creek, as this bridge replacement project gets underway. Signage will direct motorists around the work zone, utilizing I-26 between Exit 32 (State Route 173/Unicoi Road) and Exit 37 (Erwin/Jonesborough). State Route 107 and State Route 173 will be reduced to one lane of traffic with a temporary traffic signal in place between Unicoi Drive and Washington Street.
This closure is expected to be in place 24/7 until December 2026.
This schedule is contingent on favorable weather conditions. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use extreme caution in this area as workers will be present.
