Jefferson County, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – A Jefferson County teacher is suspended after being charged with driving under the influence.
Director of Schools Dr. Tommy Arnold says Matthew Carter, a physical education teacher at Mount Horeb Elementary School and a softball coach at Jefferson County High School, was suspended after being charged with DUI Sunday following a traffic stop on Roy Messer Highway.
Arnold says Carter’s suspension is pending an investigation into the DUI charge.
