Harriman, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – Former Harriman City Councilman Brian Frost has turned himself in to the Roane County Sheriff’s Office after failing to show up for his arraignment.
District Attorney General Russell Johnson says Frost, who is charged in connection to a teen’s shooting death at his detail shop, failed to appear in court on Monday.
After being booked, he posted the new bond set by the court due to his failure to appear.
Frost, who has since resigned his position on the council, was charged and indicted for tampering with evidence, coercion of a witness and a single count of official misconduct at a special-called grand jury meeting in early October.
The shooting happened at a party being thrown at the detail shop at the end of August. Investigators have said an argument broke out, and 17-year-old Riley Pawlick was charged in the murder of 18-year-old Holden Howse after a gun went off, hitting Howse in the head.
Frost’s son, Bradley, is also charged in connection to the shooting. Brian Frost’s new arraignment date is set for November 3.
