Knoxville, TN (WOKI) A Knoxville man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting in southeast Knox County.
According to a police report, officers responded in the early morning hours Tuesday to 1320 Jones Creek Way where they were told the suspect — 24-year-old Chasee Vanover — got into a fight with two people at the home.
The report indicates the fight got heated with Vanover taking out a handgun and firing rounds into a car belonging to one of the victims who was attempting to leave. That person suffered a gunshot to the temple and one in the shoulder.
Vanover was arrested after fleeing the scene. He is facing several charges to include attempted first-degree murder, domestic assault, theft and vandalism.
