Knoxville, TN (WOKI) A woman has died after being struck by a vehicle early Thursday morning on North Broadway.
Officials with the Knoxville Police Department say officers responded around 6:40 a.m. to North Broadway at Walker Boulevard where witnesses reported that a woman attempted to cross the road without looking both ways when she was hit by a car.
KPD says the driver of the car said he did not see the victim and stopped immediately to provide aid until paramedics arrived.
Police say the woman was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center but was later pronounced dead.
