Sevier County, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – The person injured in an early morning (Mon) house fire in Waldens Creek has died.
Fire crews with Waldens Creek Fire Department and various other agencies were called the fire in the 1200 block of Sugar Loaf Road in Sevier County.
When firefighters arrived, they found fire and smoke coming from the bedroom of the home and a neighbor told the crew that a person was still inside the home.
Firefighters found the resident, who was taken to the hospital where they died from their injuries.
The home suffered moderate damage with a downstairs bedroom and bathroom affected.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating the cause of the fire.
