Sevier County, TN (WOKI) – An inmate at the Sevier County Jail is now facing additional charges after officials say she brought illegal drugs into the jail.
Officials say staff at the jail responded to a medical situation involving female inmates Tuesday evening after noticing unusual behavior and a gathering in one of the housing units.
Officers determined that some of the inmates were showing signs consistent with possible drug exposure and all potentially affected inmates were taken to a medical facility for evaluation and treatment. As of last (Tues) night, all inmates are reported to be in stable condition.
The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office says 39-year-old Keely Flasher, who was booked Monday morning on four drug charges, is now also charged with introduction of contraband into a penal facility and criminal conspiracy.
