Knox County, TN (WOKI) – An investigation is underway after two firefighters are injured in a West Knox County fire.
Rural Metro Fire was called to a fire at Cedar Bluff Coin Laundry located in the 400 block of N. Cedar Bluff Road (Thursday) tonight.
When crews arrived, they saw fire coming from the front side of the laundromat and it was spreading to the roof. Rural Metro officials say nearby businesses in the same building suffered some smoke and water damage but most of the damage was to the laundromat.
All occupants of the businesses were safely evacuated before fire crews arrived.
One of the injured firefighters was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Arson investigators with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office are investigating to determine what caused the fire.
