Knoxville, TN (WOKI) A woman is facing a theft charge after stealing vapes from a secure bag inside the Knox County Jail.
According to charging documents, the theft occurred Wednesday around 1:00 a.m. when Kaitlyn Baldridge stole two vapes from the bag, then threw the bag away in a bathroom. Documents indicate the bag belonged, specifically, to an inmate who was about to be released.
Baldridge denied stealing the bag, but when officers asked again, she admitted to stealing the bag and the two vapes that were inside of it. Authorities say Baldridge was also caught on camera taking the bag.
She was charged with criminal theft.
