Oak Ridge, TN (WOKI) The domestic assault case against a former Oak Ridge Police Department officer has been dismissed.
That ruling, coming from Anderson County General Sessions Court, in the case against William Cranmore.
According to court records, the former officer was charged after Anderson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a home on Oak Ridge Highway on May 17, finding Cranmore in an argument with his wife about their upcoming divorce.
Throughout the investigation, deputies said Cranmore had threatened to “title 33″ his wife and take her to a hospital. Title 33 refers to mental health treatment and response.
Cranmore resigned from his position after being charged.
