Monroe County, TN (WOKI) The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has terminated an auxiliary deputy following an arrest for driving under the influence.
MCSO officials say 28-year-old Auxiliary Deputy Jared Fowler was arrested for driving under the influence early Tuesday morning in Blount County.
MCSO says Fowler, who began serving as an auxiliary, or volunteer, officer in August 2024, was terminated effective Tuesday.
“While Mr. Flower, like all individuals, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office holds all employees, including auxiliary deputies, to the highest standards of conduct both on and off duty,” Sheriff Tommy Jones said. “Actions that violate the law or compromise the public trust will not be tolerated.”
