Knox County, TN (WOKI) – An investigation is underway after a building collapse in East Knox County pins two people inside.
Captain Jeff Bagwell with Rural Metro Fire says two the call came in at 10:00 a.m. this morning (Monday) for a home that had collapsed with people trapped inside in the 6100 block of Thorn Grove Pike in the Carter community.
Bagwell says the two people were trapped under a shed that was being torn down and have been rescued. One of the victims was flown to UT Medical Center by Lifetstar and the other was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.
