KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – 7,000 thousand runners lined up at World’s Fair Park to run in the 2026 Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon on Sunday morning.
19-year-old, Zack Ostrander from Sparta, TN won the marathon with a time of 2 hours and 40 minutes, according to a Covenant Health spokesperson.
The female winner of the marathon was, 24-year-old, Molly Holmes out of Seattle, WA with a time of 2 hours and 55 minutes.
Races all began this morning at 7:30 a.m. at the starting line on Clinch Avenue Viaduct next to the Sunsphere.
The marathon course went through various neighborhoods in West, North and South Knoxville and ended at the finish line at World’s Fair Park.
