GATLINBURG, Tenn. (Story courtesy of WVLT) – From Anakeesta to The Island at Pigeon Forge, Mr. Monopoly is gearing up to take a tour of the Great Smoky Mountains in a new Monopoly board game.
Monopoly: The Great Smoky Mountains Edition is set to debut in the spring of 2027.
The company behind Monopoly, Top Trumps USA, said it’s looking for well-established businesses and nonprofits from across the Smokies to be part of the game. They will replace the squares around the board.
Additionally, the new game will feature customized Community Chest and Chance cards and Monopoly money, all paying homage to the Smokies.
“In an effort to make the game as authentic as possible, we invite those who love this community to help us by nominating their favorite businesses, things and places they’d like to see featured,” said Tim Barney, a Top Trumps representative.
The public is invited to help select which businesses and nonprofits will be included in the game. To do so, click here: https://us.toptrumps.com/pages/the-great-mountains-editions-of-monopoly-official-submission-form to fill out a form asking for your suggestions of locations that should be included. The deadline to submit a nomination is Tuesday, June 30.
When the game is released next March, it will be available in select local stores, Barnes & Noble and online.
