Knoxville, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – Free live music will soon make its return to downtown Knoxville.
The City of Knoxville says Concerts on the Square returns on Tuesdays in May, June and July and on Third Thursdays from May through September, all from 7-9 p.m.
The festivities kick off May 5 with the Sam Adams Quartet, and Third Thursdays feature a variety of musical styles, including Tim Decker and TN River on May 21st.
You should bring your own chairs for first-come, first-served seating.
Third Thursdays feature a variety of musical styles, including the following:
- May 21: Tim Decker and TN River
- June 18: Dancing Machine: Tribute Band to the Jacksons in collaboration with Beck Cultural Exchange Center for Juneteenth
- July 16: Tidalwave Road
- Aug. 20: Pink Houses: The Ultimate Mellencamp Experience
- Sept. 17: Square Dancing on the Square
While no food or beer will be sold on Market Square, food will be available from restaurants for take-out. However, alcohol can only be consumed inside establishments or on their patios.
