Knoxville, TN (WOKI) – A multi-county grand jury indictment lead to a man being taken into custody by the Knoxville Police Department’s Community Engagement Response Team.
48 year-old Douglas Peek was taken into custody at his Cherokee Boulevard home Monday night.
He was arrested following a months-long investigation that began following allegations referred through the Department of Children’s Services that he had inappropriately touched numerous members of youth sports teams he coached.
He was indicted for two counts of aggravated sexual battery and three counts of invasion of privacy involving a victim under 13.
The investigation being led by Special Crimes detectives is continuing.
