Knoxville, TN (WOKI) – An investigation is underway following an early morning house fire in North Knoxville.
Knoxville Fire Department Crews were called to the 1300 block of Matthews Place, just off Woodland Avenue after 9 a.m.
Crews made entry into the home and found a fire in the kitchen which had extended into the attic space and an exterior wall.
The fire had a significant head start, making it slightly more difficult to fight.
No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
