Knoxville, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – A man is facing an attempted second-degree murder charge after a reported road rage shooting on I-40.
Knoxville Police say it happened on I-40 West near Cherry Street Saturday afternoon.
The victim told officers the incident began after the suspect cut him off. The cars then crashed into each other and the victim pulled his car onto the shoulder. Police say that’s when the suspect drove by, fired multiple rounds and continued driving on I-40.
The victim was not hit, but his vehicle was shot multiple times.
Officers found both the vehicle and the suspect, 39-year-old James Rodweller at a West Knoxville home. He is charged with attempted second-degree murder.
