Knoxville, TN (WOKI) – The City of Knoxville is gearing up to host several meetings about two parks and recreation proposals that could receive grant funding.
The first meeting will focus on the Holston River Park Bicycle Skills Course. That project would see a multi-level bike course at Holston River Park as part of a partnership with Appalachian Mountain Bike Club.
The Holston River Park meeting is slated for next Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Williams Creek Golf Course on Dandridge Avenue.
The second and third meetings are focused on a project to connect the Governor Ned McWherter / Riverside Landing Park and Suttree Landing Park properties.
Those two meetings are also scheduled for next Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Williams Creek Golf Course, right after the Holston River Park meeting. The last meeting is scheduled for March 23 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cecil Webb Recreation Center on Baker Avenue.
