Knoxville, TN (WOKI) – A fatal motorcycle crash remains under investigation following a hit and run on Clinton Highway, a suspect is in custody.
57-year-old Steven Dockery after Saturday’s crash at Bradshaw Garden Road where witnesses told an Officer a black minivan fled the scene.
The motorcycle driver, an adult man, sustained critical injuries in the crash and was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.
Based on the investigation, it is believed minivan was going north on Clinton Highway and attempted to turn left onto Bradshaw Garden Road, pulling into the path of the motorcycle which hit the passenger side of the minivan.
Dockery was found a few hours later at an apartment complex and seemed to be intoxicated.
He’s facing multiple charges including vehicular homicide by intoxication.
