CLINTON, Tenn. (Story courtesy of WVLT) – An Anderson County preschool employee is the center of an FBI investigation, a spokesperson for Anderson County Schools confirmed Wednesday. That employee has also been suspended from the school they work at: Anderson County Head Start in Clinton.
According to the spokesperson, Anderson County Schools sent a note to parents explaining the situation. That note said the investigation didn’t involve any children within the school itself.
“The FBI confirmed there is no reason to believe any students have been victimized,” the note said. “Their investigation, as we understand it, stands as focused on activities outside of school.”
The note to parents also said the school system is prioritizing student safety.
“We understand this news may be upsetting and may indeed raise questions,” the note said. “Please know that the safety, wellbeing, and security of our students remains – and will always remain – our highest priority.”
The spokesperson did not identify the employee or give details about the investigation.
