KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Story courtesy of WVLT) – The Truist building, one of Knoxville’s tallest downtown towers has hit the market. The announcement came today (Tuesday) from SVN | Wood Properties, who was hired to list the building.
Located at 900 S. Gay St., the 23-story glass building has been bundled with its adjacent 421-space parking garage. The building was built in 1985 and offers 335,000 square feet of space.
“It’s not often that a downtown Knoxville tower building hits the market, so this is an incredible opportunity,” SVN | Wood Properties president George Brown said. The president billed it as downtown Knoxville’s newest office building, saying rent rates would be the market’s highest.
Knox County property records show the building was last sold in May of 2013 to Hertz Knoxville for $24,250,000.
