KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (Story courtesy of WVLT) – The Salvation Army has announced that House-Hasson Hardware will be doubling red kettle donations on Giving Tuesday.
The Red Kettle Campaign is the largest annual fundraiser that supports Salvation Army programs in Knoxville, including emergency shelters, food assistance, addiction recovery support and seasonal programs that help ensure no one in the community is left behind.
According to the Salvation Army, House-Hasson will double every dollar that is donated to any red kettle in Knox County on Dec. 2.
“This match could not come at a more important time,” Major Cameron Henderson, the Knoxville Area Commander for The Salvation Army said. “When you give on Giving Tuesday, you’re helping us provide warm meals, safe shelter and hope for families who are struggling right here in our community — and House-Hasson is doubling that impact.”
The Salvation Army said those would like to donate, but aren’t able to in person, can donate digitally at the Virtual Red Kettle for Knoxville.
Volunteers are also still needed at many kettle locations. Those who wish to register can do so by clicking here.
