SEYMOUR, Tenn. (Story courtesy of WVLT) – Seymour Volunteer Fire Department Chief John Lisenbigler is set to retire after 30 years of service.
According to a social media post by the department, Linsenbigler will be retiring next spring. He began his career with Rural Metro Fire and spent time with Rural Metro Ambulance and Johnson Bible College’s fire brigade and more than 20 years with Seymour VFD before becoming its fire chief in 2017.
“He has served our department and community well for many years and has helped us grow our department into what it is today,” the post said. “We are grateful for his leadership and dedication to the Seymour Fire Department over the past 30 years, and we are excited to see what the next chapter holds for him and our department.”
