Sevier County, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – The Sevier County Animal Shelter is asking for donations after taking in nearly 40 rabbits.
The shelter took to Facebook on Saturday, explaining that it needs adopters, foster homes and rescues after taking in the rabbits as a part of a hoarding case on Friday.
Officials say they desperately need vegetables and hay saying they’ve had very poor nutrition up to now.
They are requesting the following items:
- Any lettuce other than iceberg
- Carrots
- Strawberries/blueberries/raspberries
- Zucchini
- Parsley
- Celery
- Cucumber
The shelter added that the rabbits are in need of lots of vet care, including spay and neuter services.
