Hamblen County, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – A man is dead after a shooting in Hamblen County.
The Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office says it happened Saturday night, deputies were called to a home in west Hamblen County.
When they got there, they found 39-year-old Tommy Nguyen with multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite life-saving efforts by deputies and emergency medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The property owner, 41 year-old Landon Huffman admitted to having shot the victim.
Early investigation shows that the two men got into a fight and Nguyen threatened Huffman and charged him with a stick and Huffman shot him.
Sheriff Chad Mullins says no charges have been placed against Huffman at this time.
