Knoxville, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – Lady Vols basketball player Ruby Whitehorn is facing a misdemeanor charge after police say they found her in possession of marijuana.
The University of Tennessee Police Department says yesterday (Thurs) morning, an officer saw a car fail to stay in its lane multiple times in the area of 17th Street and Highland Avenue. The officer pulled the car over near 17th Street and Dale Avenue.
UTPD says the officer found Whitehorn in possession of almost 6 grams of marijuana and arrested her.
She is now facing a misdemeanor charge of simple possession/casual exchange.
Last month, Whitehorn plead guilty to two misdemeanor charges, aggravated trespassing and vandalism, after she was accused of domestic assault and burglary.
