Blount County, TN (WOKI /Story courtesy of WVLT) – An investigation is underway after a teen is killed in Blount County crash.
The Blount County Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Zander Lewis was driving west on Wildwood Road Sunday night when his car ran off the left side of the road and hit a concrete culvert, overturned over a driveway, went into a ditch and hit a tree before coming to a final rest against the tree. Lewis died from injuries sustained in the crash. A wheel from the car came loose during the crash and hit another car about 100 yards away.
Police say it was raining at the time of the crash and Lewis was going too fast for the roadway conditions.
