2025 City of Knoxville Regular Election:
Statistics and Important Information at the Halfway Point of Early Voting
Knoxville, TN (WOKI) – At the halfway mark (seven days of fourteen) of early voting for the 2025 City of Knoxville Regular Election, a total of 4,461 early votes have been cast, with an additional 651 votes cast by absentee ballots and in nursing homes.
***There are, as of Thursday, October 23, 2025 a total of 97,856 registered voters that are eligible to vote in this City of Knoxville election.
EARLY VOTES CAST AT THE MIDWAY POINT COMPARED TO RECENT CITY REGULAR ELECTIONS
- November 2025 – 4,461 (total votes cast in the election – TBD)
- November 2023 – 2,501 (total votes cast in the election – 15,700)
- November 2021 – 4,151 (total votes cast in the election – 21,752)
- November 2019 – 4,569 (total votes cast in the election – 25,614 – Mayor was on this ballot)
- November 2017 – 1,740 (total votes cast in the election – 11,739)

ABSENTEE BALLOT DEADLINE FAST APPROACHING
The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Saturday, October 25. Anyone wishing to vote absentee can call the Election Commission at 865-215-2480 or can download an absentee request at www.knoxvotes.org

If 10 AM is too late for you, early voting at the City County Building in downtown Knoxville opens at 8 AM on Saturday, October 25 – early birds can take advantage of early hours!
PRE-PRIMARY CAMPAIGN FINANCIAL DISCLOSURES
All candidates on the ballot have a Pre-General Campaign Financial Disclosure due on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. It will cover the period from October 1 to October 25, 2025.
