UPDATE – A massive Amazon Web Services outage causing major disruptions around the world today (Monday).
While the outages lasted several hours, Amazon says most systems should be back online and operating normally.
The company reported that 64 internal AWS services were affected by the issue and those customers include some of the world’s biggest businesses and organizations like Snapchat, Ring and the McDonald’s app.
AWS began investigating the issue just after 3 a.m. (ET), saying it stems from an error with it’s system for managing database tables and indexes.
