Knoxville, TN (WOKI) – Knox Area Rescue Ministries’ Coats for the Cold event starts today (Monday).
KARM takes gently-used coats all year long and especially in the winter months, but the Coats for the Cold drive is a special event aimed at making sure everyone in the area has the clothes they need to stay warm as the weather gets colder.
Anyone with a new or gently-used coat is asked to donate them at any KARM store or Prestige Cleaners locations. Collections will be accepted through November 7th.
Those in need of a coat can reach out to service agencies or churches for a voucher, which gets them a coat free of charge from November 17 to December 6.
