Knoxville, TN (WOKI) – Knoxville Police are investigating a hit-and-run that happened about an hour after Tennessee’s football game against Arkansas.
A 45-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl from Powell were sitting on a curb area near the sidewalk adjacent to a parking lot on Concord Street Saturday night when a 2025 Toyota 4Runner was leaving the parking lot, which is just after a hillcrest and exits at a downward angle, and hit the woman and teen before driving away.
The driver of the car traveled from the scene northbound on Concord Street to westbound on Sutherland Avenue. It was last seen turning right onto northbound Hollywood Drive.
A witness was able to follow the car and provide officers with a tag number, but it is unclear who was driving the car at the time of the incident.
KPD said both victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
