Vonore, TN (WOKI) A boater who went missing over the weekend in Monroe County has been found dead.
Officials with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office say crews from several agencies, including MCSO’s Marine Unit, searched for the boater, later identified as 60-year-old James McIntyre, near the Ball Play Boat Dock off Highway 360 in Vonore.
MCSO says McIntyre’s boat was found around a quarter mile upriver from the Ball Play Boat Landing, where they also found his truck and trailer.
The sheriff’s office says the following agencies helped with the search:
