Knox County, TN (WOKI) – An investigation is underway following a North Knoxville house which claimed the life of a dog .
Rural Metro Fire crews were called to the 6300 block of Christian Springs Drive Saturday afternoon.
Jeff Bagwell with Rural Metro Fire says crews found a room on fire and crews were able to contain the fire to that room but the home suffered significant smoke damage.
The residents were not at home at the time but a dog inside died.
