Hawkins County, TN (WOKI) One man is dead and a suspect is now in custody following a shooting in the New Canton area of Hawkins County.
Officials with the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office say the shooting was reported during the early morning hours Wednesday and that responding deputies discovered the victim, 55-year-old Jerry Michael Davidson, deceased at the scene.
HCSO says a person of interest in the case, Christopher Caleb Mullins, has been taken into custody in Bristol, Virginia with help from the Bristol Virginia Police Department.
Mullins is currently being held pending extradition to Tennessee.
