Clinton, TN (WOKI) The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a person was killed by a train Thursday night.
ACSO officials say deputies were called to a report of a person struck by a train near Mountain Lane in Rocky Top.
According to officials, deputies arrived along with emergency medical personnel just after 10:00 p.m. and determined the pedestrian had died as a result of being hit by the train.
ACSO’s Criminal Investigation Division also responded to the scene. The identity of the victim is being withheld until notification of next of kin.
