The equine rescue organization Horse Haven of Tennessee has moved to its first permanent location.
The nonprofit is celebrating the move toward “a Stable Future” by hosting the facility’s public grand opening tomorrow (Saturday) at its Fall Harvest Fest and Craft Fair. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 608 Old Brookhaven Farm Road.
After rescuing and rehabilitating horses for 25 years, the group is elated to have a home. But leaders say more work is ahead.
Horse Haven is asking for donations to fund the completion of facility renovations. The rescue group says it is receiving more calls than ever, and the planned construction will enable the equine rescuers to help as many horses as possible. In 2024, the organization saw a 75% increase in rescue calls from the previous year.
