Knoxville, TN (WOKI) Knox Pride announcing on its Facebook page that they are canceling the 2025 festival and parade.
Executive Director John Camp says the decision was made following the organization’s inability to secure liability insurance for the event.
Camp says they informed vendors and others of the decision, and now they needed to let attendees know about the cancellation.
He says they are working on finding a plan for the 2026 event, hoping to avoid a similar occurrence.
Camp says safety is a huge concern for our community right now around the country, adding they had been working closely with the city to put on the event.
