A man is facing numerous charges after a deputy from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says he locked a person inside a camper, doused it and himself in gasoline and set it on fire.
James Williams is also accused of stealing his mother’s purse and trying to take her car.
Deputy’s were called out to the 100 block of Brandy Hill Lane Sunday and say Williams had gotten into a fight with the person he shared a camper with. As the fight escalated, Williams screwed the camper’s door shut, covered the camper’s floor and himself in gasoline, then stuck a match.
Williams is charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated arson, aggravated domestic assault and aggravated burglary.
