Morristown, TN (WOKI / WVLT) The Morristown Hamblen Humane Society is asking for help with a dire situation as they work to place more than 180 animals removed recently from a hoarding situation in the area.
Officials with the humane society took to social media Friday will the all-call for help.
“We are desperate for supplies. We are in need; we are looking at getting in 100 dogs. We are looking at getting rabbits, quail and one cat,” a video posted to the humane society’s Facebook page said.
Since then, the shelter has seen an influx of donations, volunteers and those seeking to foster animals, but the work is far from over.
“From the very bottom of our hearts (both furry and human), THANK YOU, Morristown,” a later post from the Morristown Hamblen Humane Society said, adding that the shelter still needed supplies, like:
• Moist & Meaty dog food
• Pupperoni treats (the pups’ favorite!)
• Dish soap
• Laundry detergent
• Fabuloso Cleaner
• Rescue Cleaner
Those who are interested in helping are being asked to call 423-581-1494 or just show up to the shelter.
