Knoxville, TN (WOKI) The country band Alabama is returning to Knoxville for a concert at Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center later this year.
Featuring special guest Jamey Johnson, the iconic Country Music Hall of Fame group brings its “Live in Concert 25″ tour to Food City Center on December 7 at 6:00 p.m.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 19 at 10:00 a.m. EDT through Ticketmaster.
Started by cousins Randy Owen, Teddy Gentry and Jeff Cook, Alabama has had 11 Billboard Hot 100 hits, 33 No. 1 country hits, and sold more than 73 million albums.
The group is known for such timeless classics as “Mountain Music,” “Song of the South,” “Dixieland Delight,” and “The Closer You Get.” The band earned CMA’s Entertainer of the Year three years in a row (1982–1984) and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005.
