Man Wanted in Knoxville Arrested by U.S. Marshals in Clarksville

Clarksville, TN (WOKI) A man wanted in Knoxville for multiple counts of especially aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault is captured Wednesday in Clarksville by a U.S. Marshals task force.

Officials with the Marshals Service say 42-year-old Vance R. Dodson was arrested without incident after he was found on E. Street in Clarksville.

Dodson is facing two counts of especially aggravated kidnapping and one count of aggravated assault stemming from an incident that happened in Knoxville on June 5.

Authorities say the Knoxville Police Department requested the help of the U.S. Marshals Service in locating and apprehending Dodson after issuing a warrant for his arrest on June 9.

Following his arrest Wednesday, Dodson was taken to the Montgomery County Jail where he will be held for KPD on the kidnapping and assault charges.
