Ten-Year-Old in Critical Condition, Man Dead in Tazewell Shooting, Police Say

Tazewell, TN (WOKI) A man is dead and a 10-year-old is in critical condition after a shooting in Tazewell.

Tazewell Police Department officials say officers responded to Miley Drive just after 8:15 p.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, they found a man dead from a gunshot and the 10-year-old, who was shot but still alive.

Officials report that officers administered life saving measures on the juvenile while awaiting EMS; the juvenile was then flown by helicopter to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where he is currently in critical condition.
